After the announcement last April, Metallurgica Alta Brianza successfully has concluded another important step towards energy self-sufficiency. News that is anything but negligible in this particular historical period, deeply mark the increase in energy goods.
After the payment of the 400 euro bonus to all its 70 employees to cope with the expensive energy that is weighing heavily on both the company and the families, MAB, the Steelgroup commercial group, In fact, it decided to implement its energy production plants with particular attention to sustainability.
MAB has, therefore, bet on clean energy, investing in a new photovoltaic system. 1250 panels of 400 watts each now cover about 6,000 of the 32,000 square meters of the roof of the production site in Via Giacomo Brodolini in Lecco. The new plant is able to produce a quarter of the energy power that MAB needs annually and therefore 500 kilowatts/ hour of the 2,000 needed.
"We are convinced and satisfied with our choice - explains General Manager Guido Baggioli - a choice dictated not only by the moment, but by the need to be an active part of the green transition that, beyond the regulations, is an act due to the environment and future generations".
